Default Tach question

I have silver faces in my gauges, I want to have the tach rotated does anyone have a source for this? I called North Hollywood and they told me they couldn't do 993 gauges with silver faces.

Not sure exactly what you mean by rotated. But if you want to change the orientation of the tach (e.g. redline moved to 12 or 1 o’clock) gently pull out gauge, rotate to the desired position and return (5 minute job, do a search on removing gauges, changing bulbs, odometer repair etc).

Sorry if I misunderstood your question.

I have a Gemballa silver tach with 8,000rpm on top of the gauge. I got it from FVD for $30 (clearence item...). It's a PITA to get the tach needle back at the correct position, but some trial and error made it right. The pin that the needle sits on is very thin, DO NOT BREAKE IT!!! Before you do the change, note the idle speed rpm, and an rpm at a sertain speed in a certain gear. Typical idle rpm is 850, and 2,200rpm at 60mph in 6th gear. Make sure that you get this right when you change the gauge face.

I did it the old fashioned way...

My FVD wheel also blocked the oil temperature and the all important 100mph range on the speedo, so I rotated them also. I've had them this way for so long that "straight" gauges look funny to me.

I'm so **** I want the numbers facing up on the dial. Besides when you rotate the guages you have to install the engine tray.

The following Gemballa silver gauge faces are on sale from FVD for $33. Takes 5 minutes to install:
