Default OT: America's Next Indy Car

Near the bottom of the page on the Indycar site there is a poll -- http://www.indycar.com/tech/content/34186-indycar-2012/

Vote for your new Indycar to be American designed and manufactured with parts and materials sourced from right here in America!!

Thank you!

Voted.....

However (being a little selfish) I don't want you to get any busier, as we need you to make parts for our cars.....

I voted; regardless of bias for American stuff, I think the Swift is the best design. It looks like a real Industrial Designer designed it instead of an engineer designing it. When it comes to design, engineers just don't get it usually--it's just a different way of thinking. With the Swift, it looks like a nice collaboration between the engineering and design department.

I voted awhile back. Or is this like Chicago where it's "vote early, vote often"? Anyway, if we get you over the top, how about a Rennlist day with a test mule at Willow or something?????

I vote for them to stop racing on ovals.

The Swift is the only one I find appealing, but i'll take anything but the Delta Wing.

I have to say I am partial to the Delta Wing car. I saw the mockup at the Chicago Auto Show a few weeks ago and it looks interesting. I think something that radical could spark a lot of interest in the series. Think how much fun it would be to watch all the teams figure out how to make it work!!!!
