I am hunting for a 993
and came across this cab and very much like the wheels. Were these Porsche OEM wheels? Anybody have a name and part # if so?

Those look like they're 996/986 Sport Classic II wheels, not sure if they were offered as a factory option on the 993. There's also a Sport Classic, which is pretty much the same design in a one-piece wheel.
I agree, those look mighty fine on the 993. Plenty of folks use "water-cooled wheels" on their 993s, do a search for "MY02" and I'm sure you'll come across info on fitment.
Cheers,
Mark

OEM Sport Classic II. Have them on my C2S with painted centers. Fronts are 8x18 with ET 52 and p/n 993 362 13650. Rears are 10x18 with ET 65 and p/n 993 362 14050. The rears require spacers. +1 on cleaning difficulty but they do look good IMHO. There is a slightly different version that was OEM for the Boxster.

Very nice cab and great looking wheels. Not at all common so your 993 would stand out yet have OEM rims. What are details of car for sale? I have 1998 cab triple black which I love and have upgraded already. Good luck.

I have a 1995 with those same rims. How does one find out if they are the OEM made by BBS or knockoffs?
Secondly, what is the difference between the painted crests in the center and the black and whites?
The prior owner said to mix 'simple green' about 1/2 with water and spray on the rims. then rinse with water and that cleans them well without having to manually go in between the spokes. Not tried it yet....

I have used Simple Green too. Make sure you don't let it dry on the wheel. Perhaps, if you cleaned your wheels daily, using SG straight or mixed 50/50 and then rinsing would, like magic, make brake dust disappear. My car is a DD with several days between wheel cleanings. Some type of wheel cleaning solution and a brush or bug sponge are necessary to get them clean. YMMV.

I double checked the center caps on my rims. The caps may very well be on the Boxter but they have a part # of 993.961.303.05. I would imagine Porsche using the same center caps for different cars.
