Radio code doesn't work after replacing car battery
When I came back after a month (egads!) of not driving my 98 C2S I found that my car battery was dead. After installing a replacement battery, all is well, except the Becker CD changer has been asking for a 4 digit code. I have the radio card, and also a receipt from the previous owner listing the same radio code, but after I punch in the 4th digit, the cursor returns to the first position.
What am I doing wrong here?

I had the same problem when my mechanic replaced my battery. I had the code and entered it and nothing. I turned the ignition on and off...nothing. I got frusterated and started pressing buttons on the radio. Next thing I know, it took the code. Don't know precisely what button I pushed - could have been the right up/down button, I suppose. When in doubt...push buttons!
