Need help. Where can I get those carbon fiber rain gutter covers that go on each side on the windshield.

Last time I checked, RUF Dallas offers them.

^^ +1, as does RUF Pfaffenhausen. I have them on my car, but to be perfectly honest with you, I haven't a clue what they're made of. I "thought" it was something a bit more flexible (and cheaper) than CF.

Crap. Lost my first attempt at a reply.

RUF has plastic ones, Performance Priducts has CF (or CF look) ones for a little less. I would check places like MA Shaw and GT Racing, too.

Found the RUF units, but could not find them on any of the other sites. I saw a car with real carbon A pillar deflectors a while back.

The body color doesn't look bad. Otherwise, just say no...

I'd love to run these on my car since I think they would make a difference at faster tracks like VIR or the Glen. Unfortunately, they're illegal for a stock class. For a street car, I guess it's no different than having splitters and spoilers in that none of these things have a huge impact on street/highway driving (unless your highway is the autobahn), but they look kind of cool.

I bet they cut down wind noise a bit and probably help gas mileage by .005 mpg if you do a lot of interstate miles. I plan to get them at some point.

One of the experts here once stated that they gave sevral mph on fast tracks (7 or something like that).

Here is the option besides RUF: http://www.automotion.com/product.as...dept%5Fid=4829

Does anyone have photos of these on their car?

Sexy, ain't it?

Actually, I would paint mine, but I like the idea of smoothing out that front area without having to shave the gutters.

Less wind noise = More flat six noise

Mark,

Back in the olden days, I used to put a strip of body colored duct tape on the a-pillar gutters when running my car in SCCA and IMSA. No one paid any attention. Its only cheating if you get caught.

That's the other thing - I wonder if this is worth molding some clay or something in there? Cheaper than $200, to be sure...
