Yellow Headlights on a Silver Car?
I have a bad case of the Cabin Fever and I'm thinking of what to do to the car next...
My RSA had yellow headlight lenses and I loved the look, anyone done it on a silver 993?
The car in question:

Xpel makes them in yellow (in case you wanted to just put them on to see what they look like):
http://xpel.com/products/headlight_p...=33&model=3229
IIRC, I saw a member's 993 (overseas?) with yellow lights. looked nice.
I've also seen it on 996's.
FWIW, my 964 Euro Cup has yellow H4 plastic lenses.

Thanks Lewis!
I painted the inside of a spare set of glass H4 lenses for the RSA. But the H4s aren't sealed beam so they are easy to do and came out really nice. For the 993 I'm definitely looking at the film type if I decide to go for it. But I want to see what it looks like first before I get the film and bust out the hair dryer...
I've seen them on Bill V's car, but I'd like to see what they would look like on a silver car.
The other thing is, do I stop at the headlights, or do I cover the indicators and fogs. That might be too much but otherwise it might look uneven...

OK, promise me you won't laugh.....promise?
Go by a local florist, craft store, etc and get some yellow cellophane (they wrap flowers/roses in it for delivery, along with colored tissue paper). It's cheap.
Bring some home, lay it over the headlights with a bit of scotch tape, trim it to roughly fit the headlight outline and see what you think....

Since both of you already have black wheels what about a light smoked color to continue the menacing look? My race car is gray (DAPO painted over originally Polar Silver ) and I have been trying to decide what color to pain my headlight delete plates, I think I have settled on black or the replica sticker but wouldn't rule out yellow.

Lewis, that's an excellent idea!
And thank you for the photoshops guys! However, looking at the pictures I don't know how much I like the look of the yellow lenses... I like yellow because it offers excellent visibility at night. I've switched to yellow fogs and yellow high beams on my Audi and the light is great - no glare ever.
Smoked isn't an option, as much as I'm doing this for looks, I want to also improve the lights, if I used a darker film it would only decrease visibility.
And as far as legality, I keep the car in upstate New York. I never ever mounted a front license plate on any of my cars and state troopers would once in a while pull me over in the RSA. Only so they can ask questions about the car and chat! This car is very tame looking (and sounding) in comparison, so I'm not concerned.
