Well - my trip to Barrett-Jackson has turned into more of an adventure then even I thought it could. To the tune of three new vehicles! One is a Porsche - 1987 930, white with red interior, 44k miles and completely stock. See photos below. Other two are a 1972 MB 350 SL in museum condition and what I really came to buy - a truck - 1972 GMC Sprint (like an El Camino). It was a good trip, a great time and now I gotta figure out where I gonna put these puppies.

Great choice in cars! I went to BJ 3 years ago and had a great time. Sounds like exciting times this year with the weather. I have watched about 15 hours of the live footage that I Tivo'd and the wife is getting sick of hearing the auction...I love it though. Always fun to see where the market is going.

Age 16 I was driving a 77 beat up VW Rabbit and stopped by a dealer to drive a GTI which I couldn't afford and the owner went along with me. He asked if I ever rode in a Turbo and I thought he meant a Saab. He said no...a 930! We get back and he pulls up in that exact car/color combo and I almost passed out! Been hooked ever since......
