Lightbulb Spring Life

I am still trying to figure out a resolution for my situation with the HDs and want to ask the gallery:
1. I don't know what springs were on with the red Monroe Sports set up, but the car was already at a good height, so I take this to mean they are lowering springs of some kind. Is it possible to reinstall the old springs with the HDs?

2. What is the lifespan for springs? I have already learned here that the struts/shocks don't last very long, but am wondering if that is also true for springs. Is it possible the struts/shocks are dead but the springs still are usable?

While this is an economic issue, I wouldn't want to sacrifice safety for cost, but if I could re-use my current springs, at least I could dial out the cost of replacements and spend the money on the re-install instead. TIA

1. Yes. Ride height will be adjustable with your HD, but you will be able to attain the same as you had.

2. Springs last a long time - pretty much forever. Some sag worse than others over time.

3. Springs are very cheap compared to labor for install, align/CB, etc.
