I have been getting this code throw intermittenly for about 2 years.

36 ABS valve Exhaust FR -op. circ./GND/+ short

The ABS light comes on as well as the ABD light. Cycling the ignition will clear them but a few times a year it comes back... like the cat in that song I have now got stuck in your head.

I have replaced w/ new parts:

Wheel carriers (went to the GT2 ones)
Wheel bearings
RF hub
both front ABS sensors
ABS pump
Master cylinder
Hard hydraulic lines to all corners of the car
Brake lines (old SS lines replaced with new SS lines)
Both front calipers
Tried two sets of new rotors

I am very very tired of this problem. I am going to plunk down the $$ for a new ABS control unit (993-618-127-00), but somehow methinks this will be just another couple of hundreds of dollars and the cat will come back...

Well, I think I need sympathy more than advice. I love this car but I hate it.

Hi: This is exactly the problem I have. Is it connected to the 106mA battery drain I also have?

I had a similar code on mine, but on one of the front intake valves. I replaced the control unit and that addressed the problem. I luckily found a control unit from a car that was being parted out which saved me a little $.
