Cool

This one is particularly entertaining!
I deleted the fake video links for safety, I did not click on them for obvious reasons:-)

Gday,

I came across your AD on craigslist and I'm very interested in purchasing your item. Firstly I want to make sure its the similar type that my son is after. I know it's a bit odd for a mom to be looking in the auto part section but It's his birthday coming up and I want to make it a BIG surprise for him. I'm a single mom and obviously know nothing about car parts (lol). So I'm hoping you can help me out. Heres a video I copied from my son's PC. Can you please take a look and confirm its the same type. VID1 (if not work try VID2). I'm willing to pay more than what youre asking for as long it matches the video description and you can reserve it for me.

Cheers!
Anne.

My standard response to these jackasses is three words. The first one is "Go" and the last one is "yourself". Rarely does the dialogue continue...

Put the 993 on the local craigslist and immediately got a reply saying they were interested in the car but could not get their insurance site to give them a quote so would I mind going to a link in their email and checking for them and then get back to them with the info. I don't even respond the these scams for fear of them using my email reply somehow to phish me.

Talking about craigslist scams, how about buying something from different state and paying with AMEX?

I'm thinking of buying an iPhone and need it to be unlocked so even though I have ATT, I've been thinking about buying from craigslist, one seller asked money to be sent via Western Union (I said **** off) but there's one who'll take AMEX and I've always used AMEX in "hazy" situations since their service is so good if you don't receive good or someone charges too much etc.

What do you guys think?

I think your Amex will be maxed out within 10 minutes of hitting the send button, although the protections will probably work for you.

That's what I'm thinking and have always had "locals only" policy with craiglist stuff so I'll pass...
