Sorry for the delayed response guys, I just pulled up the Dyno result we have of the header muffler kit on this 1995 993 3.8L RS Clone. I attached the Dyno result below but remember this is 3.8 conversion that also has other engine work and upgrades done so the results will not be the same as a stock 3.6. This Header Muffler kit made a 20+ HP and TQ increase on a bone stock 1992 964 C2 so the gains will be similar. Let me know if you have any questions or if you are interested I will offer a $100 discount to all members.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Fabspeed dyno: https://rennlist.com/forums/6616780-post185.html
14 gained by a cat bypass here: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...t-changes.html , which also showed a loss w/ the fabspeed system, but that might have been an older /inferior system, not sure.
Again, on a 964 I see that the fabspeed headers/exhaust gain 15 vs. stock headers, regular cat in place and primary bypass. But that same stock exhaust would gain around 14 w/ just the cat bypass anyway (they claim 12 on thier site also). Since I have a cat bypass and primary bypass I would only expect to make 1-3 hp out of the fabspeed header/exhaust which is in the margin of error.
With that being said I plan on getting headers for my rsa at some point even though I have stock motor, but not expecting much except a weight loss.

Btw, if my logic above is flawed, just let me know. Also, if I were guaranteed that I could get 15 rwhp vs. my current set up of stock heat exchangers, fabspeed cat bypass and primary bypass (currently w/ a SW chip, but also have the stock chip), I would order a fabspeed system……… but as I posted above, I think I would only get a few hp.

I know Fabspeed has taken a beating by some.
However, I commend them for at least keeping us "informed" on their latest products. Also, any new product for our older cars is exciting.
Please don't flame me.
I'm just interested in their header-muffler set up (without heat).
This can shed alot of weight.
Are there any other Header muffer set ups by any other company?
I'm not worried about the CLAIMS of mega hp and torque. I know these are questionable. I'm more interested in the weight loss. Again, any recommendations?
Thanks
Kevin

I have Fabspeed muffler bypasses and love them. Really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it's my car. If the hp gains and the weight loss are what you want, seems lik ea good set up. If someone doesn't like Fabspeed. don't buy them.

The above statement is incorrect. The exhaust system on a 964 is much different than on a 993. It is a lot more restrictive. The stock 993 exhaust system is pretty well developed and free flowing in comparison. I don't doubt for a second that you can get 10+ HP on a 964 with a better exhaust configuration. I'd like to see how it's done on a 993 however. In addition, the dyno chart above really doesn't answer any questions about the gains on a stock motor. The comparison is really not fair. I can't blame anybody for being skeptical about your claims until you show us a before and after dyno chart on 993.

It is a nice looking set up but that is a lot of money just to have something "nice looking" under your car. If there are noticable performance gains then there may be a market here. I agree w/Ilko that there needs to be a dyno done on a bone stock 993 and a follow up dyno with the kit installed.

I'm ordering the headers and straight pipes largely to see some incremental gains from a 3.8. Frankly the more important factor is more weight off the rear end .
FWIW, Alex has been helpful and responsive with questions.
I'm not banking on measureable/significant hp/tq gains, but I suspect that idle and low end throttle response will change for the better with this setup.
If I get really motivated (read: free time) I may dyno before/after .

Thats why I got them. Weight. Pulled 32 pounds of dead weight off the rear and I wasent stock before the replacement. All I took off was the stock headders with heat exchangers, fabspeed cat bypas pipes and their supercups and put the new headders and RSR pipes on. Saved a total of 32 pounds. The RSR pipes and headders only weighed 9.5 pounds per side. The stock headders with heat weighed around 12 each all by them selves. I am really planning on doing a dyno run with the Headders Stock vrs these. I don't expect much of a HP improvement but we will see. Just glad to see the back end loose some weight.
