Were Sport Classic II wheels an option in 97 or 98?

I noticed in the 1998 993 parts catalogue it doesn't list a part number for them. Just curious.

Not sure about the 18" Sport Classic II, but I almost bought a 1998 993 Cab with 17" Sport Classic wheels on it as an original equipment option. Tried to load photos from the Wheel enhancement website but can't seem to do it.

They must have been a 993 option, they have 993 part numbers. I had them for a long time, great wheels. They are made for Porsche by BBS, they are true 2-piece wheels. After about a year, I powder-coated the centers black. I think they only came in narrow body offsets. I sold them to a friend, he put them on his 993 S, using H&R spacers in the rear. They look great. Here are the PNs....
Front 993 362 136 50, 8 x 18, offset 52
Rear 993 362 140 50, 10 x 18, offset 65

Yes, I think you could get both 17" and 18" versions and IIRC they became available mid to late '96 build from the factory and are in the '97 wheel brochures along with several other types of wheels you most likely have never seen. They had some real oddball choices for a breif time during 993 production.
