I recently acquired a new pedal "test" vehicle. I know it's not a Porsche, but I still like it.

I have just updated our website to allow ordering the Grey Hardcoat. It is a little bit confusing, but hopefully not too bad.

First, put the pedals you want into the shopping cart http://www.srpracing.com/cat_porsche.cfm
DO NOT select the black anodized option.

Next, go to the pedal options link: http://www.srpracing.com/cat-pedal-options.cfm and add the options you want to the cart. The Grey Hardcoat option can be found there, as well as the smooth gas pedal option.

Just like the black anodized, give us a few weeks to get these done. We have to send them out to get hardcoated in batches, which adds time.

I haven't posted in some time, but the "rennlist" discount is still active.

SRP's newest R&D vehicle, no pedals yet:

Best pedals without question. I get more comments on how they feel perfect.

Why is the grey hardcoating more durable than anodizing (debating between red/silver or grey)...is it anodizing or some other treatment?

TIA!

Below is a quote from my anodizers website, it should explain it better than I could.

"Hardcoat anodizing (also called hard coat anodizing, or hard anodizing) is a process that forms a very hard, dense, and relatively thick coating of aluminum oxide. This coating is particularly useful in applications requiring high wear resistance, in many cases outperforming hard chrome or electroless nickel. The coating material formed in this process occurs in nature as corundum, and is the second-hardest naturally occurring substance, second only to diamond. Hardcoat is often described as being "file hard", since it is difficult to scratch, even with a mill file. "
