OT: Who's got the ugliest daily driver?
All right guys, don't lie! Those of you who drive your 993 daily are out of this contest obviously.
I'm just curious to see who has the ugliest daily driver
The reason being that when people see me in my daily driver, they do not believe me when I tell them I have a 993... until they see me a few days later driving Marlene, then usually I see some jaws dropping. Soooo funny!
So, I am putting the bar quite high I guess. Here is my daily driver. In all it's might, here is my 1989 Subaru GL AWD Turbo Wagon !!! And it is red !!! 92,000 miles and counting. Leaks oil, power steering fluid, has a noisy CV axle up front, etc... Please admire the tail gate being kept open "a la RS" !
And I have at least 3 Rennlisters who can testify that this is indeed my daily driver. "Why" you would say? Well, it just won't quit running, and I have a short commute... And it is cheap! OK, it is also fun to play chicken with people on the road or on a parking lot. I guarantee, I stop for nothing I don't have much too loose!
Nuf said. Bring it ON !!!!

...my 1989 Subaru...RacingFlyer
There are a few of those (non turbo) on the road with half a million miles on them.
I now have a 2007 Legacy wagon, which is a nice looking car, so I'm not in this race.
For many years, I drove Volvo 142s as winter beaters, but don't have any pictures.

I'll have to post a picture later but in terms of age I guess I'm a challenger. I drive a 1991 Lexus LS400. This car also won't quit aside from the AC, clock, CD player and other non-essentials. I probably spend less than $500 per year on maintenance. Those Japanese sure know how to build a car!
Now that it's turning 20, I find myself liking it more and more. Sure is cheaper to invest $5,000 to fix it up rather than buying a new winter drive for $30,000.

Well, it ain't ugly, but my black 968 is creeping up on 200k miles. I have let a few things ride (e.g. Sunroof, power lock on px side not working), but it has been a great car. I'd like to sell it and get another 911, but I have to say this is a better car for a DD in almost every aspect.

I had one of those, an '86 non turbo. The body will rust out before the mechanicals crap out. Probably not an issue in Arkansas.

Half a million miles ?!?! I've got 410,000 to go at about 8,000 a year... I'll be dead by the time I reach that number....
