Because it gets dirty just by looking at it. After 3 black Porsches I'm done with black.

It looks great when clean, but that's only 2% of the time

I find that it's much easier to keep looking clean than solid black, by the way. I'm really glad to have done the black->met black repaint.

A black car is like a beautiful women. If you pay lots of attention to it, its really shines and is happy. Just a tiny bit of neglect and it gets ugly real quick...

Just sold my last black car. I always say, " Ill never get another" I hope Im right this time...

Black people say "once you've had black you never go back". i do not know if it is true of cars. I am not a great one for car cleaning and I have two black cars the other being an Alfa GTV. Here is the 993 (met black) though parked up just after I got it and not particularly clean.

I think black quite suits the car. Having said that we did a meet on the UK911 forum and had 11 993's in a row and they all looked good

The metallic black does not show dust nearly as much as the non metallic. The flecks really do a great job of masking dust.

Love my metallic black on Flamenco red. Get lots of compliments on it. With the right light shining on it, it really pops and sometimes looks bronze. Here are a few pictures.

I tried to find the pictures which show the BM; sometimes the flecks look golden, sometimes charcoal depending upon the light.

I get lots of compliments everywhere I go. I've heard many times people say, 'that's a sexy looking car!'.
