Thanks, Steve. I've done a track day and have not noticed a major handicap without an LSD? My old '88 Carrera DE car had a Quaiffe TBD, but I didn't feel a huge deficit with the 993 sans TBD/LSD.
Track work is a totally different set of conditions and a good LSD makes a HUGE difference in stability and lap times. TBD's do not offer the benefits that LSD's do.
On the public roads in sleet, snow, and ice - smooth and gradual throttle application is the key to not losing control. I've had the car sideways, if I gassed too quickly, while exiting a turn, especially if there's a bump at the turn's apex!
