Fister Stage II's are Here!!!
As I mentioned previously, I had ordered a set of Stage II's from FDM before Xmas. Today they arrived. Ain't they purdy??
In anticipation of their arrival, I spent some time over the weekend cleaning up their new home. Don't like road grime falling in my face.
I couldn't bear to hang shiney new mufflers with ugly old straps and clamps, so they got a trip to the buffing wheel.
Also took advantage of the opportunity to shed some unneeded power-robbing weight.
Yep, that's a whole nine ounces removed. Sure to improve 0 - 60 times significantly.
And here is one installed.
Tip: make sure to hang the hook on the back of the muffler on the bracket. Makes life alot easier.
And the best part: Firing it up and hearing its new voice!! Great growl at idle: more of the bark that the motorsound mufflers had but not overpowering. Still neighbor friendly. Wonderful sounds at full throttle, especially with the windows down and driving by fences and sound walls. With windows up at cruise, almost no difference so the stereo is still usable on trips (gotta keep the wife happy)
Overall great mod without any downsides

You bastards are going to give me a complex about my wheel wells. Nice cans! Congrats on the II's. I think they are addictive.................I'm thinking about III's. Need to hear some in person first.

Coming from the King of Clean, that's a compliment!!!
Take a drive to beautiful rural Knightsen, CA. Darin & Mark will treat you good!!
Thanks!!!
No turbo but with the 9 oz weight reduction, it feels like it!!!
I think we've lost another soul to Andreasitis..... It's highly contagious, although track rats are known to be immune to this disease. (I must confess that I've purchased a few cans of Xenit, but I could not bring myself to using it......)

John,
Nice little red truck!
I know it's a bit OT but if you have other shots please feel free to post a couple.
Looks very nice.
Nice job on the 993 cleanup.
