It is Super. SC stands for "Super Carrera", carried over from the 356's.

With the wide hips there's only one word I can think of: Schlampe.

Sorry Mark... Don't make a habit of searching the archives to make a post such as this. Guess we think alike.

I think it stands for Super, which AFAIK is the same word in German (and not Übermäßig)

I do believe it actually stands for Shame you can't all have one of these too but unfortunately there aren't enough for you all to have one. Sorry! Guess that you will just have to settle for your more common NBs and leave the WBs to those that appreciate them.

The S in 96-97 cars is for "Super"
The S in 98 cars is for "Sucker, wide bodys are a free option now"

My first 993 was a cab. I really miss open top cruising. Enjoy yours in good health and let us S freaks pay the premiums.

My cab serves a different purpose than a coupe would for me, they are apples and oranges. And if I had a coupe, of course I would love to have an "S". But I rib you "S" guys simply over the premiums you pay. If I wanted a 911 varient that was rare and modernish, I personally would go with 964 RS America. But that's me....

It isn't a "s" it is the shape of the road that it leaves the NB cars in the dust on.

It's what the twitchy rear end does on a Straight road.
