Default 1995 993 Interior Trim Question

Hi all

I have a 1995 993 C2 polar silver with marble grey interior.

However, my steering wheel and dash trim is this grey color with a slight purplish tinge. Could anytime enlighten me as to what this color is called? I am ordering a product from England called Liquid Leather to touch up my steering wheel (which is the same color as the dash trim), and I was hoping to tell them what the name of the color is. Please see the attached picture. Grateful for any help!

Classic. In the right light it has a purple hue.

I can't help you with the color - but you can order a spec sheet from Porsche USA and it will have all the colors, options etc as the car was delivered. then you will be positive. and its nice to have in your records.....

How do you do this? Do they give you a break down on the carpet, leather and vinyl colors or just the one interior color code?

Here is a reply from an email I had sent to Porsche, it has the info to receive a COA from PCNA. They just give the color code, no breakdown.

IMHO this was a waste of money. Misprints and lack of anything that I didn't already know and no price listed, not all options accounted for, etc......

And since the original poster has a Right Hand Drive I am guessing this link won't help, but welcome to rennlist.

"Thank you for contacting Porsche Cars North America regarding your recent purchase.

Porsche Cars North America does offer a unique document for purchase that is similar to a "birth certificate" of the vehicle. The Certificate of Authenticity includes your vehicle's original factory-installed options, exterior and interior color, engine number and transmission number, production completion date and manufacturer's suggested retail price, dependent upon availability of information.

Please visit our website, http://www.porsche.com/usa to print the order form to place an order for a Certificate of Authenticity. Or call 1-800-Porsche, Option 5 to place an order with one of our agents. They will be more than happy to assist you.

Unfortunately, we can no longer offer the reprinting of the vehicle window stickers due to legal policies recently implemented here at Porsche. Once the car is sold the sticker cannot be reproduced. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I would be more then willing to update your vehicles ownership in our system if you would provide me with a copy of the bill of sale, vehicle registration or title and your full contact information.

Should you need further assistance or would like to provide any of the contact information over the phone, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-800 Porsche Option 5.

Kindest Regards,

Um, forgive me if this is a dumb comment, but isn't the color code printed on the sticker on the underside of the front hood (er, bonnet)? I had success confirming my paint and interior codes via some Google work.

They are. However if you are looking for specific carpet or leather color identification names or codes this is not available.

However, if you happen to be going to Stuttgart, you can make an appointment at the archive library which has all of the internal information on any car they've made, including the breakdown of materials for every internal code. They are very helpful and then you can go to the museum and take a factory tour .... just sayin'.....

The problem is that the light is wrong because your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car

Thanks all for your help. Good to hear from all you lefties!

I have confirmed that the colour combination is marble-grey / classic-grey on the doors, and classic grey-black on the dash.

I would just re-do the wheel in black.
