I bought my first Porsche 38 years ago. I've owned or driven pretty much every street Porsche except a 944. With the exception of my 996 (ugh), they were all great cars. But in my not-so-humble opinion, the most appealing, bulletproof, involving, reasonably affordable street 911 out there is the G50 3.2 Carrera.
Admittedly I'm an old school semi-purist. And I am definitely a coupe guy; I don't care for cabriolets at all. But a few months ago this 32K mile M491 cab found me and strangely, I couldn't be happier. Maybe old age is affecting my judgment.

I also like it better after recently replacing the chrome Fuchs with the proper bling-free versions.

I went from a 3.2 to a 993 and back to a 3.2. The 993 may be the "better" 911...that great 3.6 engine, six speed tranny, a relatively modern HVAC system and a more contemporary look.
however...

I also like the fact you can go from discrete personalization right through to nutter Hot Rod with a 3.2 because the inherent design allows this, huge parts supply, lots of advice and not big money to do.
BTW nice Cab, an SS.. rare over here. +1 with the wheels I mean chrome
