No 993 but I just put them in my 944 and they feel great...

 

Hmmm, I've seen Evo2s in 993 streetcars at the track before. Why would someone post "doubtful" ? I wonder if I'm missing something?

Detailed install thread in 993 DIY section by Tom Larkins in 2005. Very nice instructions. He installed regular Evos and talked extensively about the tight clearance. He said that he didn' t see how the Evo 2 at 2 inches wider would fit. Hope he's wrong... just finished installing DAS roll bar and plan to do the seats tomorrow.

Yes. EVO 2 seats (aka EVO L) will fit fine. Are a little tight against the tunnel and may require some persuasion, but overall I am happy with the fit and the seats in general. Definitely the most comfortable IMHO...and I sat in at least a dozen different seats before choosing them.

I think you may be asking about the Evo 3 or "XL". They will NOT fit as they are 2 inches wider.

I have the Evo 2 installed in a 1995 993. They are a tight fit against the tunnel and the wing does just touch the door glass with the windows up. But they do fit.

 

i have the Evo 2 plus and it fits fine. GMG installed it for me and the install was expensive 7 hours of labor. $$$$
They used stratus bracket and Sparco rails. GMG had to fabricate something, but used only the factory holes. Close fit everywhere but not touching anywhere. Works great, but i would like to get it lower, however with sliders not possible.
