The c2s is now sold pending the buyers inspection.... damn that was fast!
Trinitony, thats my 2nd e55. I had a 99 before my first 911, I traded it for a new 02 c4s, which became the gt3, which necessitated a sedan to haul the kids around in.... ah, full circle indeed.

I know the buyer has not been disclosed yet, but I'm betting this car (which happens to be a virtual clone of mine) winds up on RPM, Wilhoit or one of those sites after the sale.

Ha. Betting it's not. I sent the sale link to the buyer who is close friend of mine in NorCal. We're already planning a few mild mods. Can't wait to con him into trading with me for a week.
I'll introduce him to rennlist membership shortly...

Nice! Glad it went to a "civilian"...otherwise RPM or Wilhoit would be asking $60 for it a week from now.

Yes. A proper car guy as well. Apparently, the shipping availability out of that area is slow due to some auction. Its gonna be a while before he gets it in the garage. I don't know if i have that kind of patience!
I offered to go pick it up and drive it home. My home. No luck thus far.

Assuming the deal goes through, it is not going to a reseller but no a very nice guy on the west coast. I feel for him as I have been on the receiving end of waiting for a new car to show up.... I was in the garage looking at the car last night and lamenting the fact that this will be the first time since 2001 there has not been a 911 in my life....

For what its worth, my friend has been agonizing about which car to buy for some time. It's going to a loving home. He's probably the finest, most honorable person I've ever met and deserves a car as nice as yours.
I'm glad he came to his senses. He almost decided to pursue an F-car. I'll give myself credit for pushing over the edge...

Nor should any of the "good" ones. The dealers also grind you on price. I expect that most dealers forgo the inspection. They also jump on good ones really fast, so it doesn't take too much ***** to pocket their lowball offers and wait a couple weeks for a private party enthusiast to come along. Is all of this "convenience" worth losing $5K? (or whatever) Not to me.

The car is sold and will soon be on its way to the new owner. A true car guy is getting a very nice car, I hope it serves him well! Best to all of you on the 993 board. Shrews
