One of the guys in my club is having trouble and was trying to see if a borrowed one would fix his problem before buying a new one. I thought one of the hardcore track guys here might have one that we could try out and return. Thanks for any help. I'll just post an excerpt from the email here:



New Club member Tony Crawford is having trouble with his ’97 993 Carrera 2 Cab, AC unit and wants to know if anyone has a 993 Climate Control Unit, Part number: Porsche 993 659 047 01, or Hella 5HB 005 716-06, that is dismounted and he can borrow, to confirm if his unit is inoperative or not, prior to him dropping $1,000 for a refurbished unit or twice that for a new one. We realize the request is a long shot, but it’s definitely worth asking, just in case. Or, if you don’t have a spare CCU, how about the Circuit Diagram for the CCU?

The CCU is the same for all 993s ’95-’98.

My dad just had his CCU unit refurbished at the TN place. Cost was $400. So far, so good. We found them on ebay and they seem to know their stuff.
