does this exist?

im currently looking to replace my convertable top since its got some cuts/patches in it, but i really wouldnt mind paying similar or even a little more for a removable hard top

One does exist. There have been pics posted here, but I can't remember if it was factory or not. When installing the hard top the entire frame assembly that is the cab top needs to be removed. Not a hard job, but the hard top doesn't fit over the cab top.

If I recall, you'll be paying a lot more for a very rare hard top. OEMs go for many thousands if I remember correctly, but I think I do remember seeing/hearing about an aftermarket one as well.

Still, they are very expensive either way. Much, much more than a new soft top.

The original window sticker price of the optional 993 Cab hardtop was $12,812.00. Perhaps that is why they are rare!

the D Morris stuff is post 54 or so.
I got a quote for the cabrio beach speedster cover last summer, the shipping was more $ than the product. I didn't buy it but in my emails with them they indicated removal/install of the cab top frame wasn't difficult.
