Anyone else thinking about a GT3?
I'm finding myself thinking about a 996 GT3 lately. Anyone else torn about keeping their 993 (C4S in my case) or selling to get a 6 GT3? I know the bias of this forum is to keep the 993, but I wonder how many others are thinking of "cheating".

I think about a GT3 on a regular basis, then I think about what a wonderful car the 993 is, carismatic, involving, comfortable on the road and a ton of fun at the track.
I also have a couple of frients with 997 GT3's that if the need arrises I can drive their cars (road or track).....

Constantly thinking about the GT3 - how can you not? In most ways, it is the ultimate (modern) 911 for road and track. For lovers of the 911 from a historical sense therefore it will always be attractive.

I posted some pics of a silver GT3RS w/orange scripts and wheels awhile back. This one really got me. Hey, a guy can dream can't he? With no track around here what would I do with it? I'm far from done with my 993.

Do a search for "GT3" in the 993 section and you will stay busy for awhile. Lots of postings.
Trophy (Steven) took some great photos and posted them. Here is one and the link to the posting;

There are a couple of guys on the 964 who got rid of GT3s for RSAs.
Personally, I would love to have a GT3 (esp RS), but it wouldn't have some of the idiosycrasies that make the air cooled cars so unique.

Larry Herman had a GT3 6. I wonder if he ever drove Bob Turgeon's G class 993 when he had the GT3? That would be a pretty good comparison.

I look almost daily, however, I just couldn't part with my 993 in order to buy one. While a GT3 or a TT would be a much faster car, I just don't like the looks of the 996. I find myself staring at my 993 all the time and thinking about what a beautiful car it is- probably wouldn't do that with a 996 no matter how much faster or newer it is. I guess that is why you have to shell out more money for a 1995 911 than a 1999.

I'm glad i chose the 993 over the GT3.
would probably NOT trade fro one even up.
the increased performance is NOT worth giving up the 993 highlights IMO.
cheers
