Default a little translation help por favor

i have a older 993. the 'back lights' on the dash behind the tach, speedo, well everywhere on the dash, dont light up, though all the instruments work just fine.
when the headlamps come on (and they do come on) when i turn the old 993 headlamp ****, the backlight behind the instrumentation doesnt light up.
i tried the brightness dial thats also on the dash, no luck.

my guess, a fuse.

i dont want to go in there popping out one fuse after the next.
the manual doesnt have it.
there is a diagram i was able to pull off and scan showing the schematics for the fuse box.

could i ask a favor of anyone here who could translate German? can you translate that diagram so i have them for future reference, and most importantly, which would be the back light for the dash controls??

much thanks in advance.

If you have a multimeter you can check the fuses without pulling. Interesting that your fuse box doesn't have English.

Here is the Google translator if you want to type that stuff in: http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en

# 7 instr. bel. : instrument beleuchtung = instrument lighting

edit: the same fuse also covers the rear number plate lights according to your diagram - if these don't work it's the fuse - if these do work you have a problem somewhere else

Ummm....am I reading those instruments correctly? Do you have less than 10,000 on your "older 993".

It looks like a museum piece ROW car and I believe that's the point in this case
