Default Exhaust Clamp Bolt

Does anyone have an idea what this bolt is? It is the one that goes through the clamp that secures the metal gaskets to the flange on the muffler that connects to the exhaust tip? The dealer got me for $40 for the clamp and it didn't come with bolt or washers or nut. I figure I can scam the washer, but want to be right on with the bolt.
TIA
My winter project will soon be ready to commence!! Yahhh!!!!!

I assume you are talking about the 13mm bolt in Step 1 here?

You can get the same nut and bolt at your local hardware store and probably save $$$.

Oh.... and when you install those bolts...apply a little antiseize to the threads. It will make it much easier to dismantle when you do your muff mod

He's actually installing some ceamic coated Stage IIs. : 0.
Yes, good advise here. You can get M8 nuts and bolts at the local hardware store. Some even have them in stainless, which is not a bad idea.

Just me, but I'd pay a few extra bucks for the factory hardware, even ss will gall when used for that app.

I don't know what alloy the oem EKSA hardware is made from but it doesn't corrode or gall

In our marine installations we use bronze alloys for this sort of stuff and it ain't cheap either

It won't gall as stainless can in any application, but the factory hardware definitely corrodes. I have worked on a lot of exhausts, and many are so corroded the bolts will break or have to be cut off due to the corrosion.
Stainless will work fine for the exhaust, but as Bob noted, use some anti-seize on the threads.

Thanks for the great info guys as usual! Stainless and anti seize it will be. Thanks also for the cheers Bob. It is odd to have anything that somebody on here is jealous of with all the car bling on this forum Question: my ceramics don't have holders for the heat shields. Is it b/c they're coated that they don't need them?

I can't remember which thread, but someone on here stated that the Gillet system actually had better tonal quality than the Bischoff right out of the factory. I have the motor sound pkg w/ Gillet, but the ceramics are Bischoff. Am I correct that I will not notice any of that b/c of the stage 2s?

Bischoff and Gillet mufflers are exactly the same inside. therefore they sound the same. No worries, they will sound great.
