Default Ion crystal fog lights

I'm in the process of cleaning/painting the interior of my fog light assemblies and was going to upgrade the H3 bulb to a PIAA or Silverstar to match the lowbeam HID's. I came across a PIAA H3 that is amber in color when lit. For those who don't know, if your really going to need/use your fogs as truly fog lights as opposed to looking cool, amber is the way to go as it's wavelengths are the last to be absorbed by precipitation(fog). Conversely, blue light is one of the first wavelengths to be absorbed. I'm thinking of giving them a whirl. Has anyone else had experience with these lights?

PS- when removing the bumperette, I twisted one of the bolts off due to rust on the nut. The assembly that holds the two bolts is an interlocking part that looks like it can be removed. It also seems to be held in place by a metal bracket that I can't get to. Short of taking the bumper off to access this part, does anyone know how to get these parts off?

Thanks!
Paul
