Default Question about MY02 rims

Looking around at some different rims for my 96 NB car and have located a set MY02's from a 996. The owner states that they are OEM but how can I verify that there seems to be a lot of knock off''s for sale.

OEMs have the width and offset moulded left and right of the valve stem base. see here:

and they have the p-part numbers moulded on the "inside" of the wheelspokes...

The back side of the hub near the lug holes will say BBS if they are 996 wheels and Borbet if they are Boxster wheels.

Ok, so what is a fair price to pay for the rims that are like new, with no curb rash?

I picked up OEM's that were stamped Front Part # 996.362.134.05 and Rear Part # 996.362.138.00. I'm pretty sure mine came off a Boxster.

I have bought two sets off of Craigslist for $1000 and $1400. Another RLr just bought a set for $1400 off of Craigslist. They are out there.

They usually seem to go for $1350-$1500. I paid $1450 for a set that was 8.5-9 out of 10 condition.

FWIW, I paid 1200 for mine but they had been curbed so I had to repair them. Easy enough to DIY, and saved me a little off the price
