Default Anybody putting in a non-airbag wheel very soon?

I have built a couple of resistors for the airbag circuit and would like for somebody to try one on a car. I made them based off some details found on here. Nothing fancy, but it sould be a simple plug in solution. I can make more if anybody is interested, but just want to try them out first.

Hi Bart,

Funny thing..... just ordered a non airbag wheel last night. I went with the momo rs Porsche wheel and will be installing it in the spring. I'll be interested in how things work out. My last car was a 968, had a sparco wheel and I did not bother with the airbag light in the dash. This time I don't want to look at that light, so if all works out, I'll be in touch. Tks,

Cheers,
Geoff

I think the RS wheel pictured above will eventually find it's way into my car.

What have you got going? I can try it out on the RS America as I was going to throw on a removable hub & wheel I've got laying around. (I'm guessing everything is the same, never have looked into it that much.)

And pretty cheap. I also like the other Porsche factory wheel for a more track oriented car:

Just send me the RSA and I'll try it. I do have a crush on the RSA, maybe I'll have one at some point (was talking to ilko about his, but got scared).

I made some of these (full credit and mad props to Thomas!):

I was going to get someone to try them and make sure they work and then I could make them up for anybody that wanted one. Maybe $5 shipped or something cheap.

If you were within driving distance I'd say just come over and take the thing for how ever long you wanted. (I am driving it now that the C4S is laid up for all the deferred maintenance/freshening.) But man does not having power steering SUCK driving around town..............

Ken, you are cool as cucumber. Maybe I'll visit CA one day.

I do a little Eurotrip every summer. I spent a good deal of time driving a 964 up the passes as well as a 3.2 with a Momo Mod.07 wheel. They were both set up right and great cars, butt he 3.2 was a workout to drive hard up the passes!

Ken and Geoff, PM me your addys and I'll send you out one of these to try.

Hi Bart,

That's the wheel I got. The weird thing is it was that pic that made my mind up about what wheel to get. I also got the shifter that was in that pic. You am I really think alike, as my second choice was the more track type wheel.
968's, 993's, steering wheels.........

Oh yea, almost forgot RSA's, came close to buying one, but then the car I own came along. If I had a big garage and lots of money, there would be a RSA in there.

I am up at my cottage now so on Monday I send you a PM with a US address to ship to. Meny thanks. You are one of the reasons this place is so great!

Cheers,
Geoff

Will be doing this in the next couple of weeks - I'll give it a shot and give you feedback if you want.
