Certainly in the top two.

I think the 924 was the only car not represented at the Porsche parade lap at Laguna Seca last August.

My buddy got us up to 150 on the Autobahn in his 964 cab, but traffic and speed limits make it tough.

I don't like Panameras.

Ugly? Karmann Coupe. Even if it IS a variant.

And whoever wants to pick on 914's, most certainly a "six" makes it palatable.........

Anyone want to go find some images of 911 prototypes? What most turns my stomach aren't some of the exterior designs, but the fact they protoytped a pushrod six-cylinder engine. If that had gone into production Porsche would have died before Hendrix, Morrison and Joplin.

Almost most as ugly and stupid as the Cayenne.

And just think if Porsche had died before Joplin we would not have her 356 Coupe.

I have seen a few Panameras around here. I keep telling myself it is an engineering masterpiece, designed by a blind man. I am actually cool with, but if I had 100+ Grand to spend on a Porsche it would be a GT3RS.

I figure wait three to four years and pick a P4S up for about 1/2 to a 1/3 the asking price.

I have to admit, as much as I don't like them, they do look better in person than they do in print/video

Still......NO THANKS!

It would certainly be hard to look worse...

To the "I would never" crowd, all I can say is hold your tongue until you drive the car. It rocks.

Odd thread. I don't mind picking on Panameras and their drivers (Cayennes are much worse IMHO) but I think the 914/6 is a COOL car. And a 924 is not ugly in my book.

Edit: and we are discussing Auto Hifi at length on this board, too, see here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...y-audible.html

I think all of the 356's still would have been produced. Just that if the 911 was a dud like that prototype that looks like the Karmann Coupe with a pushrod six (think Porsche Corvair engine, or at least a Continental or Lycoming), the '65 she bought a couple of years before her death would have about coincided with her demise.

no way is the 924 the 'ugliest' Porsche... From pure performance, yes... it's the odd man out; But asthetically the Pepper still wins hands down. Pink adds to it's pigish-ness.

The Panamera isn't nearly as bad in person as the images made it seem... However it's still a shame that such an amazing car came packaged as it did. It really could/should have been a new benchmark.

Now you have to remember the question was "ugliest car ever to wear the porsche badge" , which the 914 did not, which is why I put 914/6.

And I nominated the 914 even though I owned one and loved it dearly.

The plain Jane 924 and first year 928 look pretty drab to me now, though cars like the 924 GT and 928 GTS turned out pretty cool.
