Question Question/help - wheel offsets/rim sizes

I have a 95 993 cabriolet which is a narrow bodied car.

Can I run 18 X 8.5" with 52 offset in the front

and 18 X 10" with 65 in the rear ?

Not sure about the 8.5" wheel......in the front.......due to being so close to the coil springs/ etc...

Did not hear any rubbing during test rides in front or rear (with turning in tight circles, etc...)

Any advice/info helpful....thanks again....

Default additional info - tire sizes

Tires are 225/40/18 in front
Rears are 265/35/18 in rear

Those should be fine. Some are running a wider tire on the front wheels.
I am running the very same setup but with an 8" wheel up front.

Thats a pretty good setup... 18x10 et65 is the factory rear, so no problem there. The front is 1/2in wider than factory, et52 splits the extra width equally on the inside and outside. I doubt you will have any difficulty.

Thanks for all the help and confidence provided with installing the 8.5" on the front........cheers.....I was advised, etc... that I should put on a steering rack brace? Really necessary if I don't track the car? Any info helpful if any experince with this......posts show conflicting info relative to MY 95....

I installed one on my car. It was an easy fix and relatively cheap from Sunset Porsche.

Do a search on "steering rack" for more information.

Here is a pretty good thread:

correct
stock front is 8 ET52

8.5ET52 would place .25"(6.35mm) extra inboard and .25"(6.35mm) extra outboard. This will work, but it's better to minimize the extra outboard width, so using 8.5ET54 will place 4.35mm extra out board and 8.35mm extra inboard this is a better choice
