I solved it. After the dual mass flywheel and the clutch were exchanged things were running fine!

Thanks for the update. These last 4 years have been tough, as I've been waiting to not only hear the riddle to your car's problem solved, but also, finally, at long last, who got the $100 reward you promised?

I can finally sleep at night. Once I know who got the $100. I will wait patiently the next 4 years to find out this final piece of this enduring mystery...

Better use a wire transfer as the USPS will also delay delivery.

Good to hear your mystery has resolved. Not sure how much you have spent altogether, but with 993 prices skyrocketing, I'm sure you're still ahead.
