Default Quarter window removal

Who knows the correct procedure for removing the rear quarter windows? Are they held in by the gasket, or glued?

You got a little piece of dust in there you can't get to?

No idea how to remove, just had to get a bad joke in.

Gasket....

From the inside you can start in one corner and peel the gasket back while pushing the glass out. Its really pretty simple. To put back in, lay a string in the groove in the gasket and push the window in while pulling the string.

edit: when reinstaling a little lube helps alot.

I wish. My bike tipped over and broke the passenger side window.

Bummer, I hope that was all of the damage.

I had a similar experience when my dog got into the garage during a storm and went nuts. He knocked my bike onto my one week old 997S. Scratched it. Dent removal and some good touch up paint made it disappear. But the dog didn't last long after that.

If its the same as earlier 911's it is held in by the gasket, I remember pulling one out of an SC, and it was a PITA..... I will see if I can find some pics of when I did it...
