Introduction - J. McKenzie (Moffat Influenced)
Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is John McKenzie - neighbor of Timothy Moffat and his 993 brother Doug.
Tim took me on a couple of runs and let me drive his beloved blue car home from Vancouver and that was it, I started to slide down the slippery 993 Slope. I lusted for a 993 as to me this era oozed nostalgia - classic P-Car with all that last generation of the air/oil cooled stuff.
I peppered Tim with potential cars and questions. That’s when I realized this guy is truly obsessed Holy $#@* - did he just swallow the shop manuals for 993? “Yes John... this is an early 95 that was actually manufactured in 1994. You can tell this by...blah, blah, blah.” it was great having the support next door ...and Doug’s 50 liter keg in the basement was pretty sweet too.
Tim called one day - found 'the car'. It’s a 95 - 993, C2, black on black, 128K, single owner from LA. - completely unmolested, well maintained, minimal options, and a good price from TruSpeed. The PPI came up clean with a few small housekeeping items to repair (Thxs to Al S. & Doug for all the trouble shooting and wrenching). The car was shipped to the border - when they backed the car out of the covered trailer, my eyes actually started to well up. I couldn’t believe the car I had dreamt about as a teenager had finally arrived!!! I’ll keep you posted on all the modifications with the official unveiling in April.
We have a great group of 993 enthusiasts here outside of Vancouver. I can’t thank the Maple Ridge Gang enough!!!
Pics are complements of TM...
Cheers,

FINALLY!!!!!
Just kidding John, welcome to the world of wallet draining. Not because you need to but because you want to. The cars sure looked nice together during their family reunion yesterday. "The Bobbi" (terminology pirated yet again from Cactus) had a chuckle as she left for work yesterday. "Now you only have to go across the street to 'Play Porsche'" she said.
Great looking, tight car and I look forward to seeing her transformation over the coming months (or will that be days?).

Gorgeous. Welcome. My first comment (we all have them, your choice on what to hear or not) is brighter exhaust tips. I like my motorsound tips but others have a thing for big ovals.
I thought the wallet draining was bad when I was bringing an '83 SC up to snuff, but that couldn't hold a candle to the 993. But fortunately I can only afford a couple 'things' per year, the RS wheels were 'it' for a while, but the RS trim pieces are calling my name.

Beautiful! I had a chat with Tim about the car as you were making your decision...excellent deal. The car looks fantastic for 128k mi. Enjoy in good health.
