Johan,

I am concerned about your box, wouldn't want it to fall on your car, a quick graze past the tarp and it could come tumbling down...... At last a Garage posted by a Humans.......

Maybe I'm the outlier here but I look at the photos of the first garage and it's apparent to me this guy is not a car guy, just somebody with a fat wallet who thinks the Robb Report is a car magazine. Further, although I think the architecture is very nice, for the most part those garages are not garages but rather living rooms with big doors. I"m sorry but it looks like all the first guy knows about cars is being able to waltz into his Ferrari/Maserati dealer and order the most expensive cars on the list. Great cars yes, but basically all the same and nothing of real significance except as expensive toys to show off. I'd have far more respect for the owner if the garage had a Birdcage and/or 250 GTO in it instead of an Enzo. The later photos show what are in IMHO "real" garages with interesting cars (like Carlos's) with spaces with lifts where one can either work on and/or show off the real engineering that makes great cars great. Kudos to you Carlos as a real enthusiast and as to the others, as my late Mother used to say - money doesn't equal taste. Too bad.

Rant over.

Patfat, I feel your pain man! My last house was in the city and was built in 1922. It had a 1 car garage with a single 100 watt bulb for lighting! Not what I considered a working garage. That is the one thing that pushed me to the burbs. I had several of my cars damaged by jerks as they were parked by the curb in front of my house. I also had my patrol car tagged with gang grafitti and had the glass etched with a diamond etching tool. Talk about making your blood boil. The crazy thing was that it was in a great neighborhood. For all of the listed reasons I decided to build big enough so that I would never have to park anything, including the work car outside.
