Default Bay Area Rennlisters - Drive this weekend?

The weather is promising to be great this weekend, so I was wondering if any Bay Area Rennlisters felt like getting together for a drive. I was thinking maybe to meet at Santana Row around 10am for the weekly car 'show', followed by a drive up 280 to 92 and then along Skyline Blvd. and ending up in Saratoga. If Saturday doesn't work, then maybe a similar drive on Sunday?

Other plan/route suggestions are welcome. If this weekend doesn't work, then how about next?

Would LOVE to go---but am currently P-carless! Sold my 996 long ago (never should have bought it), sold my 73 S Targa a shorter while ago (because I foolishly thought that I had too many cars) and am now struggling with 993 C4S vs 05/06 997. I change my mind daily on this one....

Have a great ride and maybe I can join you on one of your next trips. That is a great drive!

Dang... I'd like to go but have way too much work to do.
This might be the last clear shot at a nice weekend!

Too bad guys. I was hoping to get something together before the weather starts to turn for the worse. I'm probably going to end up doing it anyway, but would love to have some other 993s to tag along. Post here or PM me if you're thinking of showing up. Next weekend might work as well if this is too short notice for this week.

Good luck with Santana Row. They finally kicked everyone out last Saturday. I'm sure some will gather there again this weekend but security will probably arrive shortly after. The only escape is to park and then everyone goes to Peets for coffee and conversation.

We're talking with management about a new arrangement..

WHA?!? What is their problem? Too many exotic cars bringing down the image of the place?

Some idiot's come driving in revving their engines or flying out of there. Santana Row is residential above retail. Someone living there called security about 2 months ago. Now they complain every weekend and we've been effectively removed from the property.

One man's exhaust music is another's "revving" unfortunately. Even with people driving sanely, some residents misinterpret aggressive sport exhausts as "revving". Plus, there are some people who could be more considerate...

Bummer. Sounds like a few knuckleheads ruined it for everyone.

Any discussion on a new location yet? How about something further north, like Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto?

Nevermind about a new location. I checked 6speedonline and it appears that the cars are still welcome, but there will be some new rules:

1) Please don't rev the engines.
2) Only one parking spot per car.
3) Soliciting vendors are not permitted
4) And no tents
