Default 993 engine shield removal????

OK guys,

What is the answer to whether you leave the 993 engine bottom shield on or off. I read in execellence that one guy worried about the engine not getting enough cooling with it on. Why did Porssche do this shield?

If you use SEARCH and use the terms "engine tray" and/or "undertray" you will get enough reading to last you several evenings....Whether or not you will be able to draw a conclusion from what you read is another question.

Well, not no worries. If your car is lowered, you run the risk of taking out one of the heat exchangers when backing up, as they tend to droop without the engine tray on. Ask me how I know!

That said, I still recommend running without one.

If you turn it upside-down it works as a wicked spoiler.

I'm sorry, you're recommending which? Running without heat exchangers or an engine tray?
