Default Wheel Refinishing

Has anyone tried to touch up minor rash on their twist wheels? I know I read here that someone did it. I even found a DIY, but I'm trying to find out what paint to order and from who. TIA

I did my MY 02 rims with both products that Rick recommended. Used a two part body filler I bought at pep boys to fill in some curb rash and some 400 grit sandpaper to blend it in. They came out looking great! Fairly easy DIY.

I'm posting so I can find this thread again later too. I'm currently planning to refinish the wheels on my IS and want to make sure I do it right. Don't want to have to do it again later.

Got some aircraft paint stripper last night and hope to strip them down this weekend.

Thanks guys...especially for the link, Ron! I'm going to order soon and get my work space ready for this and my caliper painting. Whoo hoo!

I did my MY02's. Not hard at all.

I did end up with the Einzette Silber spray though instead of the wurth, as the wurth was unavailable and out of stock everywhere.

Here is my DIY thread:

Wasn't there an article in April '09 Excellence about this?

Any recommendation for chrome rims? Can they be sanded and painted?
