My concern now is what appears to be scoring on the shaft of the shocks..... Did you get to look at the shocks before they corrected it, I would hate for you to end up shortening the life of your new suspension because of the **** poor initial install.......
the mechanic said the scoring was cosmetic only and shouldn't have any impact on life of suspension. He said the marks were on the housing and not the piston.

He also said the boot looks worse in the pics than they really are. He said it was pinched, but after they took it apart it straightened out nicely.
Just wanted to let everyone know that the removal of the rubber spring pad completely eliminated the crunching noise and now it sounds sweet as ever. Plus, the original tech that installed settled up w/ me...which I thought was a stand up thing to do.
You hate to have these issues, but at least the mechanic stood up and helped out. Glad to see you back on the road with no crunching. Those pics were hard to look at.
