I figure I saved 20 lbs with my odyssey. Quite a lot of weight loss for the money ond not losing any creature comforts. Over a year later, I have absolutely no regrets. To each his own, indeed.

I agonized (sort of) over this for a couple days. Researched on RL, looked at all the outlets and brands and ended up with a Bosch conventional battery from Pep Boys. After the "trade in", fees, taxes, etc, it cost right a $100. I doubt that more than 1% of 993 owners would either notice or benefit from saving 10 pounds on the front left corner.

I've always used a battery matt and a battery float/tender. The last battery was a Porsche OEM that lasted 6+ years. Battery mount still looks new.

This might be a stupid question, but will the loss of 30lbs battery weight mean the corner weighting will be off?

Don't buy a Braille battery. It's just a Deka battery rebranded. You can pick up a Deka for 1/2 the cost of the Braille.

Oh well, to each his own.
