Default Part ID Help Please

I got my new clutch installed and I only have one part left over. Thats pretty good for me. I found this rubber bit it on the floor and am not sure where it goes and what it does. I've scoured the forum pics with no avail. Anybody know?

I'm totally guesing here, but it looks like a cover for something. I know someone here will be able to tell you exactly what it is.

I found a number on it - 993.116.630.00. I think you're right. It might be the cover/cap for the speed sensor on the tranny. I was thinking it fit on a cable. I'll check it out in the morning.

That cover fits between crank position sensor and bellhousing. Fortunately, you should be able to squeeze it on with engine/trans in the car.

I know this is an old thread, but I have exactly the same part left over

Were you able to put it back without any disassembly?

thanks,
Andy
