Default Tranny Tray

After a very tragic storage accident, I'm on the hunt for a transmission tray, the one in front of the engine tray. I've been offerred a "prisitine" one locally for $150CDN. Seem fair? I was thinking of countering $100. I know, I shouldn't be cheap, I should buck-up for a new one but they're $350CDN. I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.

Is the Canadian $ still about equal to the USD? I haven't checked lately...

$75-100 USD was the going rate for this part a year or so ago.

$25 seems more reasonable for that slab of fiber-reinforced cardboard...

I know but shipping charges can be painful. As to the Canuck-buck, it's hovering a few cents below parity.......great time to buy stuff from the US!

I know, it's such a simple piece but I want to have it on the 97.......might actually drive it in the rain.

I have an extra one from a 1995 (assume they are all the same?). $45 plus shipping sound fair?

EDIT: just saw you are in Canada. Not sure if it makes a difference...let me know, its just taking up space here.

That's all I have to say about that.

And, as long as shipping costs aren't crazy, a big RL thanks to Justin (Black993)!

Update:

First off, here in Canada (at least in BC) we don't get regular mail delivery on weekends, Mon-Fri only. Special deliveries are an occassional surprise on Saturdays.

So imagine my surprise when the mailman pulled into my driveway a few minutes ago, IT'S SUNDAY!!! He had this huge flat box for me containing my tray.

Thanks again Justin (Black993), I appreciate the effort you put in for minimal return. Just proves what great people are on here.

Nope. No moving vehicles were involved in this.
Here's a hint though:
