Default Part # help for Engine Air Duct

I have an early build (12/94) 993 and need a new air duct for the engine cooling fan. The old one has a hole in it and is deteriorating quickly, well not too quickly as it is almost 16 years old now . Anyway, my engine is an M64.07 and is non-varioram. There are (2) part #'s for this rubber piece on PET, I think the part # is 964-106-403-02 and not the later version of the part w/varioram that starts with a 993 instead of 964. The picture of the piece on Pelican is reversed so it is a little hard to tell, can anyone shed some light on this for me?

TIA,
John

Yes, get the part from Sunset. Use the wrench provided in your toolkit to get the hard to reach bolt. Ask me how I know

Mine just died too, and though my car is a 9/94 build it used the 993 part, so be sure to check your car before you order. bart1 posted the following photos recently;

top: 993.106.403.00
bottom: 964.106.403.02

Hell yes jump on it. This thing has been in a box for 6 months and needs to go. It's brand new. I had a Rennlister all over it and he ended up playing Kansas on me (Dust In The Wind). Just passing it forward.

Sure Bart, well, we should be thanking you for posting them in the first place. By searching on the respective part numbers it seems this topic comes up at least every month or so nowadays.

Even with your pics and confirmed part numbers I still pulled the piece off my car to verify the part number first, since others with a later build date had the 964.xx part...

For future searchers; My non-VarioRam C2 with it's 9/94 build used the 993 part. Also, to use the RS (or Fabspeed) Heater Bypass requires the 964 part. Part numbers in the post above.

Jason
