The motochron's do turn up on the german ebay sometimes and sell for big money.

Porsche Design has their own watch called the P'6510. Made back in the 70s it has a classic look that is reminiscent of their gauges (only the watch is a chronograph)

since we seem to be getting away from VDO specifically, here is my "daily driver", which i love... iwc big pilot...doesnt look like VDO per se, but does remind me of the old school clean legible dials in the 993

We have these watches. Not IWC material but a nice copy of the speedometer.
