My 993 on Google maps
Anyone else see there car on Google Street View. It's cool to see but not sure if I like the fact that everyone else can see whats in my garage.

Who would of thought of this technological "feature" just 10 years ago, that allows thieves to scope out your stuff from the comfort of their crack house?

I completely understand the uneasiness this type of technology induces, but seriously doubt that many car thieves use Google Street View to find cars to steal. It would be much more likely that they would see you driving your car and simply follow you home, marking your house for a later time. Even more likely is the theft that takes place because the thief happened on a situation that was just too easy to pass up.

There has been a big privacy stink going on about Google Maps Street View. google it Street view has come in very handy in trying to find places I have looked for. I can surely understand the concerns. There are all kinds of goofy things you can see in Street View. There are actually websites that contain links to "Point's of interest" so to speak.

I looked up my last house and saw the front door was open! So, I spun the camera around to look at the neighbors house and sure enough, there's my wife standing there in here PJs talking to her friend across the street.

The first time they drove in my work neighborhood, they actually drove through the parking lot to get a better view of my car. I just went on line to check and they have a much more recent drive through and this time they stay on the street.

Do they use unmarked or company vehicles with Google or some sort on it? Some of the views it looks like they have to get out on foot to do the 360 degree shots but I've never seen anyone actually taking the photos.
