Awesome. However, I find pics like this to be extremely depressing and wish they would be posted elsewhere.

Could we get the moderators to start a new "P-car **** Underbody Forum" so the rest of us to go back to sleeping well at night.

I couldn't agree more. When I see pics like this, I feel like a very bad owner!

So what are the details of this setup? It looks like a twin-turbo setup...with varioram? How does that work?

993 NA varioram motor, GT2871 56trim turbos, 40mm tial wastegates, dual CDI ignition, seimens 60lb injectors, 996 turbo check valves, tial oil restrictors, stock bottom end running 6psi of boost. approx 450hp.

Protomotive has done many varioram setups. They work real well even with boost.

No dyno numbers yet. Still cleaning up the tune with Protomotive. Todd set it up slightly rich to be safe. Once he get my data logs he will begin to pull fuel till its dialed in perfectly.

Here is the Dyno prior to tearing the motor apart in December.

Approx 450 crank HP like I expected.

Arrow Rods, Flame Ring heads, Dougherty DC21 cams and using stock 10.7 CR P+C's. Changing wastegate springs to 10PSI. Should do close to 500whp.

Motor will be back in the car in the next 2 weeks.

Great numbers and really sanitary looking set up. Curious about a couple of things, was there something about the setup that required pulling apart the motor, were you able to get it dialed in so it wasn't running rich and (said in a whisper) how will this affect getting the car smogged here in Kalifonia.

I think this is the second car I have seen here running normally aspirated compression with substantial boost.

Are you running pump gas?

The motor had a wrist pin noise so we opted to replace the known weak rods and address some weakness of the motor so we could run more boost.

Other similar builds have had no problem with smog. I see no reason why I should once things are fully dialed in.
