Default PPI near Truespeed?

Hey guys, my 993-seeking neighbor John has found a car of interest at Truespeed. Can someone recommend a shop close by for a PPI?

Thanks in advance.

I purchased through Truspeed about five years ago. I just told them I wanted at PPI and they took that car to the local Porsche dealership. Very easy, and they were very helpful--especially since I was in North Carolina at the time.

+1 Hergesheimers is the place to go for a PPI. PM me if you'd like me to look at the car first--happy to do so.

+2 on Hergesheimers. They did a PPI for me and I was pleased with their work. Bought my car from Truspeed too - a class outfit from my experience.

fwiw, there's also Frank Hanrahan whose shop is within a stone's throw from Truspeed. http://www.hausofperformance.com/aboutus.html

As for the dig about Hergesheimer being Truspeed's worst nightmare, I found the folks at Truspeed to be totally up front and very open about their inventory. They welcome and encourage customers to do a complete ppi at the shop of their choice. Sure, they sell retail at retail prices, but they are a class act, imho.

I've never bought anything from Truspeed but the times I spoke to them they seemed fairly upfront and they have a reputation for being a stand-up shop. IMHO they would probably prefer a buyer do a PPI so that everything is disclosed and agreed upfront, rather than having a deal that is renegotiated post sale.

My parents bought a 95' M3 with 14K miles on it from Truespeed last year and the Transaction went great but shipping and PPI were not involved as Truespeed is <5miles away. One of the shop guy there is a friend of mine and I have nothing but good things to say about Truespeed. Same goes for Hergesheimers, great people with a nice shop but I have not had a car worked on by them and only know them through racing.

When I bought my car from Truspeed, sight unseen by the way, Herggies spotted a couple of minor items in the PPI that needed doing and Truspeed fixed them without any discussion, it was just taken care of. My experience with both shops was all good as far as I'm concerned.

Just ordered a PPI from Hergesheimer's, unfortunately they can't get it in until next Tues. They'll bump it up if they can. Their number is 949-458-7223.
