Default Repair or replace?

I just purchased a used set of 3 piece 17" Kinesis Supercups and one of the front wheels has some curb rash. Should I have a Denver wheel company repair the rim or just purchase a new rim. Anyone know what a new rim costs? The estimate for repair was close to $200 for the one rim.

When you say rim I assume you mean just the lip portion of the rim correct? Thats the route I would go and keep the old one as a spare. Kinesis should send you new bolts and you should be able to do it yourself with a proper torque wrench. Do kinesis have a rubber seal or use silicone to seal the gap between the barrels?

They no longer produce the Kensis Supercup so getting a "new" one would be difficult. Kinesis was sold and the rim was discontinued. Your problem is also compounded by the fact that outer lips for your rim are also getting more difficult to find. I sent you a PM
