MarkD and I are looking into renting Reno-Fernley Raceway www.reno-fernleyraceway.com for a day of track fun. Possibly an early November date. We are putting this out to see how many people would be interested. We would like to keep it to under 25 cars....lots of track time for everyone. If we can get close to 25 cars, the price will be very resonable!

Darin, sounds like it's going to be a weekday, right? Let me know which day you guys end up choosing, since I'll have to clear my schedule ahead of time. Being a track junkie, I just couldn't refuse. With that being said, have you guys thought of enlisting help from track instructors (Ken comes to mind immediately)? It's great fun to be on the track, but safety is my primary concern

Hey... Why don't we meet at SEMA on Friday 11/7 and then go to the track for the weekend? I get a few exibitor passes with my booth that I haven't assigned to anyone yet. I'd be open to having a few guest helper's for the last day of the show. Then we can head over to see the "show" section.....

If any of you have modified cars and require better than pump gas, you might want to confirm they have 100. They have been known to run out and not advertise the fact.

No way in hell would I consider going to Reno again; there's just no point. Travel time. Facility (or lack of). Overall oddness of the track. All my opinion, of course. Plenty of Thunderhill dates available toward the end of the year. Two years ago they were offering them for $1K for the base track rental.

Oh sure.. Just announce to the entire forum that I went four off..
Just kidding..

Life has been good. I took a break from lapping days for a while and was racing in the Skip Barber West Coast series, open wheelers.

Then also put a Turbo in the stable so the 993 and my visits to the forum have embarrassingly been diminished.

But I'm ready to start tracking the 993 again and decided to stop racing until economy gets much, much better.. So you'll probably be seeing me a lot again.

How bout yourself? How are things?

It's nice to be back here.. Nothing has changed and feels like an old pair of shoes.. I think I even just saw a C2S vs. C4S thread.. Put a smile on my face, lol.
